Sewing,
Knitting,
Learning
I’m Tahira, and I’m glad to welcome you to my corner of the internet. I’m a lifelong sewist and knitter, coming from a household where they were considered necessary life skills. I bought my own sewing machine whilst I was at university, and I began to view my crafting as a creative outlet, letting me make garments that reflected my style and would last longer than the clothes that I could afford.
Like many crafters, I know the value that crafting brings to my mental health and self esteem. Learning new skills requires good resources, especially for people new to knitting and sewing, and it can be really difficult to discern what is a good resource. That’s why I chose to learn how to tech edit and grade knitting patterns, doing my bit to help designers make sure that they’re creating good resources. It’s also why, if you’re releasing a free pattern, I’ll tech edit and grade your pattern for free.
